Light distillates are refined oil products which are produced following fractional distillation at the top of the distillation tower. They have low boiling point and are sometimes referred to as ‘top of the barrel’. These are mostly used as fuels and include Gasoline or ‘Petrol’ which is used as a fuel in spark-ignited petrol engines.

2205 Duplex Stainless Steel is the most popular of Duplex grades of Stainless Steel. 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate and Sheet is also a combination of Austenitic and Ferritic Steels. 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate and Sheet has good workability and excellent impact toughness. Similar to LDX 2101, 2205+2 has high resistance to corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion fatigue. 2205+2 also has high strength, lower thermal expansion compared to other Stainless Steel, and is easily weldable.
Alloy 800T is a High Nickel alloy designed to resist carburization and oxidation at high temperatures. General corrosion resistance is excellent. The Chromium and Nickel chemistries are higher in alloy 800T Plate and Sheet versus 304/304L, which yields better performance in high heat applications. The High Nickel content (32%) also makes the alloy resistant to ‘chloride and stress corrosion cracking’ as compared to other Austenitic materials. In addition, the High Nickel content gives the alloys excellent resistance to ‘stress rupture’ with higher operating temperatures up to 1050 degrees Fahrenheit. The alloy performs well in cycling applications (cool/heat/cool) where oxidation and carbonization are a concern.
